The New Headquarters: |
::Background
It
has been the intention of the company to move to a larger
premises to provide a central location for all aspects of
the coach operation.
A
shortage of suitable sites in the immediate area resulted
in a long wait for this objective to be realised. Therefore
when the oppurtunity arose to purchase the 1 acre plot at
the expanding Ellesmere Business Park on the edge of the town,
we grasped it and immediately went to the drawing board.
The
benefits of relocation:
-
Central point for all activities: efficiency of communication
and control.
-
Oppurtunity for further growth.
-
A flagship headquarters to reflect the strength and market
position of our brand.
-
Easier access to the main road network.
::
The Plan
After
receiving planning permission from the local authority, the
developers moved on site in September of this year to begin
work. Once complete the new headquarters will provide the
following facilities:
-
Automatic Coach Wash: enabling a total external wash in approx.
7 minutes.
-
Dual Fuelling Lanes: enabling rapid refuelling of 2 coaches
at once.
-
One Way Traffic System: to ensure health & safety on a
busy site.
-
Drivers Rest Facilities: to allow drivers to relax between
assignments.
-
Workshops / Cleaning and Preparation Bays
-
Coach Parking: allowing the entire fleet to be parked on a
single site.
-
Car Parking: for customers and staff.
-
Administrative/Traffic/Accounts Headquarters: open plan and
directors offices with 2 meeting rooms.
-
24 hour Security: comprehensive security monitoring and responsive
CCTV system.
Expected
Completion Date: February 2006.
